As someone who always has the best intentions- but not the strongest 'follow throughs'- when it comes to New Years' Resolutions I decided to attempt a modified photography challenge for the year. Some of you may have heard of '10 on the 10th'- where regardless of what the day brings you photograph and share 10 images on the 10th of every month. Sounds doable, right?? I love the idea of capturing an average day and focusing on its beauty. But here's the thing... the 10th came and went- and I forgot to take even one photograph that day! Rather than throw in the towel my first month (yikes!) I decided to share instead 10 images per month- not just the 10th! These are definitely not always my most masterful photos but there's something in each of them that makes my heart smile. I told myself that this wouldn't be 10 photos of Clarky but obviously he still dominated the month :) I hope that at the end of the year I'll be able to look back and see an improvement in my skills but more importantly images of precious, fleeting moments that are now mine to keep. :)
**************
Clark loves sharing everything. And I mean everything!
He also loves to bring me a tissue, hold it up to my nose and have me blow into it.
We're flying through tissue boxes now haha
Absolutely love this photo of my honey. He's the king of goofy smiles for the camera so this genuine smirk melts me. <3
I almost never use a flash so this was Clark's reaction when I was playing around with it- He could not stop laughing!! I tend to prefer natural light but I may start using my flash a little more if it gives me smiles like this!
Someone LOVES books. Someone doesn't let his mom change his diaper without one. I couldn't choose between the following two images. I loved both perspectives. And here was a daily moment that I never thought to photograph before now. Diaper changes- who knew they were such sweet memories?? ;)
My Beauty Boy in his ball pit. Pretty sure he thinks it's his man cave...
I've been doing a bunch of photo shoot at the Conservatory and each time I think this cactus is the neatest thing! So I decided to take a moment to stop and smell the ro'... I mean photograph the cactus :)
And this is why my dad is my favorite ever! Love this picture.
As I walk through the conservatory I can't help marveling at the beauty of God's masterful creation.
"How many are Your works, Lord!
In your wisdom You made them all;
The earth is full of Your creation!"
Psalm 104: 24
And I know this is the 11th picture but I thought I should try to include an extra image that I am actually in! Because, hey, I was there, too!
So here I am with my boys. Heading out for a winter walk <3
Lots of Love,
Jessi
