March Memories :)

The beginning of March tends to hold some of the longest days of the year for me. I am always just So.Ready.For.Spring that I feel like I might burst! Luckily, Steve and I had a trip (just us!) to look forward to. Even though it was just two nights away we had a wonderful trip to Boston! It was a wonderful city and I can't wait to explore it more! Steve lovingly requested 'no cameras- just us' so other than a few iPhone snapshots I don't have any photos to share. But it was great to be SO 'there' during our precious time alone together. We moseyed down cobble-stoned streets dripping with history- all while holding hands... and NOT chasing a toddler ;) Steve admitted it took him a full 24 hours before he stopped constantly checking that Clark wasn't making a break for the subway tracks. But three days was my limit. I cried every night missing my boy (Clark on the other hand was completely blissed out at Mimi and Poppi's and didn't even realize we were gone ;)

We were also able to visit much of my family during a brief trip to NJ. Always wonderful to see them <3 Besides that March was full of a lot of repetition of our 'beautiful ordinary' days. Clark is bigger every time I look at him. I swear it's true. He talks constantly and there is so much he wants to know!  I'm loving this age, One of the recent 'Clarkisms' that makes us giggle is his love for our Cuckoo Clock- which he refers to as his 'Hoo Hoo Cock'. Yep, we laugh every time :)

Clark also learned a hard lesson in obedience this month. When he defiantly (with sass!) touched the fireplace he got a pretty bad burn on his hand. And while it broke my heart, since then he's been very good at listening when we say "Don't touch. Hot!" Some lessons are just tough to learn :-/
Steve and I have been chugging along- anxiously awaiting the warmer, sunshiney days. Baby girl seems to be doing really well! She's just as active as her brother (uh-oh! ;) and apparently looks and sounds good! She actually kicked Clark's head one time- he was not okay with it haha. I can't believe how fast this pregnancy is flying by! Can't wait to be able to snuggle both my lovey-loo's at once!! <3

Night Time Routine :) Reading Books with Dada. This is a current favorite. Clark loves counting the animals (he can count to 9!), making the noises and labeling them. And who doesn't love a daddy in uniform ;)

One day I looked down and all I saw was pink and orange. It made me smile that my day had an unintentional 'color theme'. Especially because these are my favorites :)

We took C bowling for his first time. He was not a fan. Considering he smushed his finger with a bowling ball we'll give him some slack. My nephew however was a bowling machine. This awesome 3 year old even got some spares!!

Our beloved Auntie Laura FINALLY made it to Rochester!! Clark was smitten (who wouldn't be??) and we enjoyed showing off some of our new home city :)

Little man looking at the waterfalls. And making a mad dash for 'freedom'. Seriously, check out his evil smirk! haha!

Love the daily adventure of being his mama <3

Extremely grateful for Laura grabbing the camera so I could have a few shots with my boy <3 Precious, perfect, real. I so love these <3

My Monday inspiration: Wegman's lite caffeine coffee in a Tapawingo mug ;)

This first batch of 5 photos were some that I loved from C's St. Patty's day session but didn't 'make the cut'. I thought I'd share them here because he cracks me up!

And here are my 3 favorites <3 <3
Seriously, can you stay this little for always??

This was actually a Clarky photo- bomb. I was testing my strobes for something else and my crazy kiddo danced (literally) in front of me singing all the while! Love this candid moment <3

Thinking of my besty, Betsy each and every time I eat a grapefruit. Don't you love when you have those little memory-moments throughout the day that make you smile?

Speaking of Betsy... she bought baby girl her first Lilly Pulitzer outfit!! Yeeeee!!!!
I literally peed my pants a little when I saw this I was so excited. Steve can back me up. Yea, it happened...

FINALLY a photo of sweet baby girl's little bump.
Can't wait to meet this sunshine girl <3 <3

An example of our 'beautiful ordinary'. Love lazy mornings playing trucks on the floor with my guy. I am forever grateful that this is my every day <3

Love this one, too <3

My absolute favorite Easter find from Hobby Lobby. I giggled when I saw it and kept coming back to it. For $5 I think it'll be well enjoyed for many Easters to come! ;)

And the photo(s!) I'm in this month. See! It was my goal!!
Love these pictures of me and my bubba out to lunch.

Finally I wanted to share my favorite photo of Clark this month along with some verses that I've been meditating on. I was actually reading my devotionals out loud to Clark (with a hand on my belly bump) when I came across these verses and I think that's why it stuck out to me so much:

We will not hide them from our children
but tell to the coming generation
the glorious deeds of the Lord
and the wonders He has done
...
That the next generation might know them,
the children yet unborn
So that they should set their hope in God
and not forget the works of God
but keep His commandments
Psalm 78: 4, 6-7

Praying this over my littles this month:
That they will KNOW Him, have HOPE in Him, and KEEP His commandments <3

Lots of Love,
Jessi
