So, I'm really pushing it this month! It's almost JUNE and I still haven't posted our April memories! Even though my to-do list is spiraling out of control I really do love chronicling our little monthly memories and know I'll regret it if I fall too far behind. With that being said, I give you... April! ;)

We celebrated Easter with my parents in Lake George- Clark was obsessed with the chocolate. In general there's no end to what that child will do for chocolate! Case in point: Clark went poopy on the potty at Mema & Beepa's for the FIRST time solely for the promise of chocolate. Now whenever he has a hankering for chocolate he tells me "bathroom!" and tinkles the smallest amount of pee in the potty while celebrating with a "Chocolate!!" chant.
Steve's birthday was this month (I can't believe he's 28! Seriously, how is this happening so fast?!) We celebrated on the evening of his birthday with his whole family. He requested strawberry rhubarb pie which was truly delicious (way to go Bertha!) but had drill during the day. So we decided to celebrate a bit more the following weekend. Steve chose a family zoo trip followed by milkshakes at cheeburger cheeburger. Then we walked the pier and Clark played in the sand on the beach. Overall, a great day celebrating my main man <3
A fun first for me was going on the ClickinWalk hosted by ClickinMoms with my friend Liz. We were challenged to wander the streets of downtown Buffalo (one big herd of momtographers!) and photograph the city. It was so much fun and very different from what I'm used to. I hope to join again next year :)
And baby girl is doing SO well! She's very active- constantly doing flips, kicks, and jabs. Pretty sure she's going to have as much energy as her brother :)

Making daddy's birthday cake.
Clark picked out the flavors. So guess what we had? That's right!

As I took the cake out of the oven Clark ran to the utensil drawer grabbed a fork and climbed into his chair laughing. It was a minor heartbreak (tears were involved) when I explained that we need to wait for daddy before we could eat daddy's cake.
The daffodils that we planted the week we moved into our new house bloomed this month. We celebrated the first 'Metzger' thing about our front lawn ;) Starting to feel more like ours!
Little man focusing hard on his play-doh creations. He's very purposeful about his actions- he refuses to 'squash' the play-doh and gets frustrated if I try to. Who doesn't like to squish play-doh?? lol
Playing with his beloved 'baby' Abby. Every time we leave the house he always asks if it's because we're going to see her. And luckily, we often are ;)
The first time Clark started scribbling 'letters' I was SO excited- all I could think was - developmental milestone!! Can't believe what a big boy I have! <3
Tons of toys to play with and C decides tossing a flower around the deck is actually the best way to spend the afternoon. 30 minutes, lots of giggles, and one amused mama later...

One of my favorite photos this month. Some of my clients were willing to hike to a daffodil field and I'm so glad they were! All this springy-ness makes my heart happy!
